Scripture says that it is appointed of a man once to die. We will all face it at some point in our lives. Today is the first anniversary of that event for my wife of 35 years Debbie Maudlin Anderson. My profile picture is of us just a few months before she became too sick to go out any more. I received a call from the hospital early morning one year ago today saying I needed to come to be with Debbie a she would not last much longer. I was privileged to be able to sit and hold her hand for the last few hours of her life. Myself as well as family and close friends surrounded her bed and sang praises to our Lord as Debbie took her last breathes. At 1:00 on on November 24th 2012 Debbie had passed on to be with Jesus. She is with him to this day and forever celebrating in heaven. I wish to take this opportunity to thank all those who visited her in the hospital, who celebrated her last birthday in the hospital with us, who sang with us as she passed, who cried with us and comforted us and who just loved us. In this past year God has done many wonderful things. He has restored and renewed me in many ways. Thank you Jesus for bringing newness to me and giving me hope and joy out of really tough situations. I cherish the relationships and memories of the past and thank God for the new ones He has given me. Thank you SOLID Rock family for being just what I needed when I needed you. Thank you Lord for placing me among loving people and taking me to new heights. I know God has a lot more in store for me in the next year, He told me so Himself. God bless you all my friends.
