Season’s greetings and happy holidays to you and your family! As we ring in a new year, I want to share a few resolutions with you. I resolve to continue to be a fierce advocate for this school district, for our students and for you. Whatever my future holds, I will maintain my passion for and commitment to public education and Minneapolis Public Schools in particular. I resolve to surround myself with people I love and care for, which is something I wish for you as well. Our field is demanding, more so than perhaps any other. I hope to never lose sight of the importance of family and friends and I hope you find time to spend with the people who mean the most to you. I resolve to take fabulous care of myself and I wish you the same. Real change takes hard work and commitment - and we can’t be our best if we don’t take care of ourselves first. I will carry these resolutions with me into the new year and beyond. Please take time for yourself over the break. Enjoy time with those you love and reflect on the things you have accomplished this year. Recharge in preparation for the work that lies ahead. I wish you all the very best in 2015.
