Seattle Transmedia & Independent Film Festival (STIFF) is Hiring! Part Time Sponsorship Coordinator Wanted The Seattle Transmedia and Independent Film Festival is planning its 11th year and we are seeking a Sponsorship Coordinator. The festival runs over 9 days in May and includes monthly screenings and special events throughout the year. The Sponsorship coordinator will be in charge of fundraising for our non-profit 501(c)3 festival. The position will be part time for the first year and then we would like it to transition into a full time salaried Development Director position with increased responsibilities. We are looking for an individual with a strong sales background that can work independently. Responsibilities include- * Develop proposals in order to send to different organizations in order to solicit sponsorships. Must be comfortable cold-calling potential sponsors and individual donors * Meet clients and explain to them the need for sponsors/donors and their eventual benefits * Implement sponsorship strategies that benefit both the festival and the sponsor in order to maximize revenues and create long term partnerships * Seek new sponsors/donors by taking referrals, searching different avenues such as the web, participating in networking events and attending other local festivals * Handle negotiations with sponsors and ensure that the agreement that has been reached is the closest to the objective of the plan * Seek in-kind support from different businesses * Plan, coordinate and implement fundraising events to bring together possible sponsors and donors * Act as a liaison between sponsors/donors and the festival * Ensure that sponsors are integrated into as many aspects of promotional campaigns as possible * Ensure the delivery of agreed sponsor benefits successfully * Develop appropriate correspondence such as proposals, thank you letters and program outcome information Please send cover letter and resume to [email protected]
