Secondary Whole School Challenge Brief: Affinity want the learners to design the classroom of the future. They have complete freedom from us to design what they want as long as it is on a single side of A4. Affinity would like the learners to think about how far technology has come and how they think it’s going to progress in the future. Learners can think about trivial things like if the teacher will be there or more realistic suggestions like will all the learners use tablets and laptops. Affinity are really hoping for some creative entries with lots of different materials and colour on but if the learners want to use a computer then that’s equally fine, whatever they want. Why? Affinity would like to get learners more passionate about technology and get them thinking about how it has evolved over time. This can be anything from the progression of chalkboards to whiteboards or computers to tablets as long as it involves progression. We would also like to use the finished entries as part of digital media marketing campaign towards the back end of 2013. Prize: Computer tablet for personal use of the learner Deadline 7th October hand to form tutor.
