Secretary Kerry in Beijing, China this week. He and Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will join their Chinese co-chairs, State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Vice Premier Wang Yang, for the sixth joint meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED). The Dialogue will focus on addressing the challenges and opportunities that both countries face on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global areas of immediate and long-term economic and strategic interest. Also, Secretary Kerry and Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong will co-chair this year’s U.S.-China High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange (CPE) and call for closer and expanded people-to-people ties.
