Seek Daily NBC Tuesday, March 25 Zechariah 9:10-15 THE LORD PROTECTS The Lord of host shall defend them… Zechariah 9:15, KJV I saw a sticker somewhere that reads: “I am too defended to be a victim.” As I wanted to celebrate it as one of those celebrated clichés, two critical questions came to me: 1) what is the source of your defence? 2) A victim of what? The first became pertinent because several sources of defence exist today. The second also calls for concern because several things are haunting us today. Some are haunted by their past, others by their imagination. A proper clarification of these critical issues will help one to appreciate some of these sayings. Today’s text clearly states the greatest source of defence, the Lord of Host! He is the surest defence and protection a person can have. Who or what is the cause of your fear? God says He will protect you. He neither sleeps nor slumbers. He has a plan for you and He is committed to fulfilling it. No matter the threat from your enemy, He will fulfil His counsel for your life. He will contend with whoever seeks to contradict His purpose for your life. He will do everything to defend His course in your life to the very end.
