Seeking treatment outside of our area? Member looking for your advice: I was recently diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Started off with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. Now Lupus, RA, Scleroderma, Polymyositis, having dry mouth and not making enough tears. Im overwhelmed. Any suggestions on how to cope? There are only 6 rheumys in my area. Thinking about going out of state for treatment. My last office visit with my rheumy was April 2014. My next appointment is Jan 2015. Has any one had to seek treatment out of their state? I was taken off last meds because of poor kidney and liver results. Im in a lot of pain. Thank you. Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to this members message.
