Senator Wicker is concerned by the shrinking work force. We should - TopicsExpress

Senator Wicker is concerned by the shrinking work force. We should be too or well end up like Japan has been for the last ten years or so. Senator Wicker likes to blame Obamacare and President Obama. Trust me, I am no fan of Obamas fiscal policy. He has done far to little and listened to the advice of those who are more interested in Wall Street than Main street. Obamacare seeks to stem rising medical cost that are dragging down the economy. It remains to be seen if it will work. However, the greatest danger to growth and job creation is not a lack of confidence caused by Obamacare. It is a lack of confidence caused by a lack of customers. Middle class income is falling and poverty is on the increase. If you want people to join the work force you have to pay them a wage that makes a job worthwhile and fewer and fewer do. Ben Bernanke has stated that the biggest risk to the recovery (the slowest in history) is the fiscal policy of the U. S. Congress. Senator Wicker should do some soul searching and ask himself what he has done to create jobs so that people can support themselves. I am afraid he and most of his cohorts in the Senate and the Congress have been more of a problem than a solution. Just wait till the next round of Sequester spending cuts come around. They are already risking not only the economic security but the military security of our country. Senate and Congressional Republicans quit pointing the finger at Obamacare, after all it was originally a Republican idea anyway, and do the job we pay you to do.
