Sensitization workshop for Dhaka-based Journalists to Combat Gender Based Violence ended. A two-day News Network’s sensitization workshop for journalists to combat gender based violence has successfully ended today (22 June 2014) at Dhaka Art Center, Dhaka of Bangladesh. The programme is supported by Czech Development Aid. Eighteen young journalists from different print and electronic media houses participated in the programme. Farid Hossain, former Bureau Chief of Associated Press(AP) in Dhaka, Assistant Professor Shobnom Azim, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Dhaka and Shahiduzzaman, Editor of News Network are conducted the workshop. Participants fund the workshop very much effective for understanding gender based violence and to combat the issues. In the closing session certificates were distributed among the participants.
