Shared from Joshka Wessels via Stefan Winkler: More than 300.000 video clips have been uploaded on YouTube since the outbreak of the Syrian Uprisings in 2011. A majority of these clips were filmed by mobile phones. Now Syria has had its first Mobile Phone Film Festival screened throughout Syria and outside. The result is a collection of 13 impressive short stories filmed with mobile phone cameras that show us Syrians’ daily lives, inside and outside of Syria. The festival’s activities started on the 1st of October 2014 and held 10 screenings in Aleppo, Kfaranbel, Jabal al-Zawya, and other areas in Syria. Now the festival is coming to Europe: London, Berlin, and Brussels!
