Sharing few pictures of Government Middle School, Arango in Lower Dibang Valley. The school is located 25 kms from Roing. At initial glance, there is nothing impressive about the school. However, after brief acquaintance, one can learn how despite difficulties, the school is able to run in its full swing. In the vicinity, this school has good reputation that parents from nearby villages wants their ward admitted in this school. While the nearby govt secondary school, Koronu has only 180 students, this school in Arango has 280 students. So the school with only three classrooms, and only six teachers has its classes overcrowded. To overcome shortage of classrooms, the teachers with support from parents have erected temporary kutcha classrooms made of bamboo with thatched roof nearby. So three classes are managed from these kutcha rooms. But due to shortage of teachers, some classes have to wait, while classes are held for other grades. Despite such constraints, the school management ensures that the classes are held ceremoniously till 3 pm everyday. Few dedicated teachers who have made the school earn its reputation are the school headmaster Mr Debi Umbrey, and its teaching faculty member - Apiju Pulu. Just a glance during school hours, one can notice the teacher - student interaction so alive, energetic with full of positivity.
