Sharks don’t eat everything in the oceans! This video shows an oceanic whitetip swallowing a plastic bag. Fortunately, the shark quickly realized it wasn’t a snack and was able to spit it out. For many other species - especially sea turtles - consuming plastic and other garbage floating in our seas can be a death sentence. Part of the mission of the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation is to inform people about the challenges facing our oceans, including trash and depletion of critical species.
