The value of the vest award is over $4,700 - A BIG THANK YOU to all who made this possible. CaJah Salon in Saint Paul hosted an Annual benefit for Minnesota K9’s in Law Enforcement on September 27th raising over $10,900.00. A private donation of $950 by White Bear Mitsubishi in White Bear Lake covered the cost of the vest for the fifth Ramsey County Sheriff’s K9, Reggie. White Bear Mitsubishi is one of three members of the St. Paul Auto Group and also part of Rydell Auto Group. “The collaboration of generous local support with this national effort will benefit our canine teams in their daily public safety duties,” said Undersheriff Jack Serier, Public Safety Services Division. “Dogs have a rich history in American law enforcement as a key asset to preserving the lives of officers, deputies, and citizens as trained canines are often the first to be sent into dangerous situations. These vests will provide a valuable element of protection for our brave canine partners.” Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, Massachusetts, whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
