Short story and Photo from Faceless victims number 2 of 20. Parent Teacher Meeting. Ayshaa is a brilliant young girl, she is ahead in calculation and comprehension, but she is easily distracted in lessons Her teacher was a tall lean man with a tightly cropped beard but a friendly intelligent approach to his students parents much like he spoke to the children. Her mother felt proud of her but worried. She could just about see her in the courtyard though the teachers dusty window. Shes just got a vivid imaginatiion, like her father had She missed Ali more everyday, Can it have been three years already? Ayshaa has his eyes. Its not just her imagination, she complains of dreams in which a shadow is watching her father and wont help him as hes... An alarm sounds, the same alarm theyve heard a thousand times, But since they moved to the green zone they worried less and less but were angered more and more. Ive to get my daughter in she said quickly, both out of fear and want to end the conversation, She didnt like to hear about Ayshaas dreams, They hurt to much. As she reached the old wooden double doors of the school house the alarm stopped. Ayshaa, skipping happily around a flower pot is singing, Its all she can hear. The song Ali sang to her. She didnt see the blast, or feel it. She onl felt the large wooden doors of the school house on her chest. Ayshaa she can barely get the word out. The doors, Theyre so heavy she thought as the ringing begins in her eara. She feels more now. The weight lifts off her and she feels like shes floating. Its so bright!! She sees a large shadow appear over her. Is this the person from her dreams? Is that you Ali? I cant reach you. The pain feels cold now, I cant hear her singing anymore. The song Ali sang to her. Ayshaa is a brilliant girl End the bombing of Gaza!
