Sin Chew Daily has reported that there will be a new system of fuel subsidies in place by the time October comes around, with only those earning RM5,000 and below, owning cars with an engine capacity of 2.0 litres and below, being granted subsidies in fuel. Those who are in the income bracket between RM5,000 - RM10,000 will be allocated 300 litres a month in subsidised fuel, while those earning RM10,000 and above will not be availed to subsidised fuel.
