Since Ill be away from winter for a little while, thought to share why I love this season - contrary to many montrealers who LOVE to gripe and complain about something that happens every year - silly humans that we can be. This is an example of the planet taking us by the hand and whispering, Here. Let me show you something completely different that is magical and creates opportunity. Its so easy to love the other seasons. But winter is different. I love winter. The other seasons are so easy to enjoy. But winter is so special. Its different every year. It keep us huddled together. It makes everything seem new. It makes us have fun in a very different way. It challenges us all at once. It allows for new beginnings. Complain all you want. Though that you do remains a mystery to me. For all the memories of snow, laughing at snowball fights, amazed at the wonder of it all, I will always find it a special time of year.
