Since my birthday is in a week, I figured Id do this as a 2014 wrap up. Here are 27 interesting things I did as a 27 year old, in no particular order: 1. Visited 12 countries and cruised 3 times. 2. Went Ziplining for the first time 3. Got more than 1,000,000 unique visitors on my site, APiDAOnline 4. Became financially independent 5. Paid off all credit card debt 6. Got hired to be a writer on Jalopnik, the largest car community site in the world 7. Owned and sold 3 BMW //M cars 8. Bought two super rare Mitsubishi sports cars 9. Drove my first Ferrari, courtesy of Doug DeMuro 10. Drove my first Aston Martin that cost more than $330,000, thanks to Travis Okulski 11. Interviewed the CEO of an upcoming car company, Paul Elio 12. Met the designer of my favorite car, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. 13. Became very good friends with transcontinental record holder and absolutely spectacular guy Alex Roy 14. Met and spoke with several personal heroes as peers. 15. Was flown across the country to the LA International Auto show as a press photographer, with plans for the Detroit Auto show in a few weeks. 16. Bought my first full-frame professional camera with an L lens 17. Got several million views on my Jalopnik articles 18. Had someone ask to take a picture with me at the Jalopnik Film Festival 19. Drove a Morgan 3-wheeler in the rain, through downtown New York 20. Started filming and editing a video series 21. Became a curation editor at Vintage Wheels 22. Met a 4-year financial goal of being able to afford an Aston Martin Vantage by the end of 2014 23. Drove a brand new BMW through Mulholland Drive at night, overlooking downtown LA, thanks to Jason Torchinsky 24. Completely disassembled and upgraded the interior in my Mercedes S-Class, by myself. 25. Went snorkeling for the first time, touched a shark 26. Fixed a Lexus radiator and brakes in a PathMark parking lot in Harlem, on a 100 degree day, thanks to Raphael Orlove and Chris Perkins 27. Hired my wife as an assistant to improve my productivity and time management Im sure Im missing a few things, but I look towards 2015 with fair amount of optimism coupled with the hunger for success and fear of mediocrity that wakes me up every day.
