Since someone removed the ability to post to the current QSA page and by that also removed my comment, I figured Id post it here. In Regards to the Below Post about # PinkForLeelah: For those who do not know who Leelah Alcorn is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Leelah_Alcorn It is a Wikipedia article but I figured being short and concise with a large amount of sources was the best path to take here. If you are going to be partaking in the # PinkForLeelah day (Paint your ring fingernail pink on January 6th to show support and sympathy for Leelah Alcorn), there is nothing wrong with that. However once the day is done, do not stop there. I would even go so far to say that simply doing only this is the bare minimum you can do. You can remove the polish, and resume your daily life. It is simple and easy and has no risk. One day of a simple action is a starting point but more must be done from there, using this as a building block. Learn and teach others. Do not rely on trans people or other LBGTQ+ people to educate you. Research and discover for yourself, and pass knowledge on to other people. However never talk over trans and gender-variant people. Their knowledge is personal and is the most important to hear and learn from. Seek and Find. Find charities, donations, fundraisers, or make your own. Actively help others to make the world easier for people to survive in. Do not simply pat yourself on the back and say “Well, that’s it then” after the 6th. Because ‘that’ is never it. It’s easy to ignore suffering and inequality when you are not directly affected by it. We are not playing Oppression Olympics. We are not saying one group suffers more, or deserves more help than any other group. Today we are focusing on one group for the time being, and we should never let that group leave our minds.
