Since the media is constantly bombarding us with pictures of us in slavery and portraying us in other negative ways, I say we bombard our medias with positive images of our people (past and present). When they show images of African American neighborhoods, Africa, Africans and the history of our ancestry as savages, they are subliminally planting the seed that they (whites) are superior and always have been. WE MUST THINK, ACT, AND BELIEVE FROM A PLACE OF POWER. I was having a discussion with a African brother just a little a while ago who believes that white people are superior.... it shocked me so much all I could say was OH MY GOODNESS!!!! He is young and apparently knowledgeable but so lost. But I get it. Everything he sees, tells him the white man has power, therefore he must be better. Nothing could be further from the truth. We too, give the white man too much credit for our situation. So I say, we start bombarding the media with positive information about us. And change what we say about the power that white people have that hold us back. Lets take that idea out of our sentence structure and replace it with, this is the present situation but here is what we are doing about it.
