💥Single Leg Romanian DeadLift💥 Compared to 2-legged deadlifts, the single leg deadlift helps you improve your balance, proprioception, & coordination AND it puts less stress on the back. Knee Pain? If step-ups, lunges and squats kill your knees, then this deadlift exercise a great booty building, knee-friendly alternative. Tip: Hold the kettlebell (or dumbbell or 16 pound jug of kitty litter) in the hand opposite the leg you are working. Keep your back straight. Look straight ahead. Slightly bend the knee of the leg planted on the ground. As you lower the weight, swing the other leg back so it stays in line with your torso. Stop lowering when you feel a mild stretch in your planted leg’s hamstring and then return to the starting position while squeezing your planted leg’s glute. Note that the movement occurs at the hip (hinge at your hips, not your spine! keep your low back straight). I recommend learning this exercise by bracing yourself (hold onto a chair with the other hand until you master it). Optional: “Pet the kitty” with the other hand. Bahahahaha!
