Sir Alex Ferguson says watching Andy Murray gets him going more - TopicsExpress

Sir Alex Ferguson says watching Andy Murray gets him going more than Manchester United ever did. Fergie saw Murray lose last year’s Wimbledon final to Roger Federer. But he was also there when fellow Scot Murray claimed his first Grand Slam title at the US Open. The recently retired United boss said: “Watching Andy, I get more worked up, more emotionally involved than with my own team. For any sportsman, it requires more than ability. It requires that inner belief, a passion and desire to get over the line. “I was at the Wimbledon final. Until they put the roof up, I thought he’d do it. ” Fergie and fellow Scot knight Sean Connery then gatecrashed Murray’s Press conference after he beat Novak Djokovic to win the US Open. He said: “We just went in. It was so funny.” (Source: The Sun) {MG14}
