Sit properly. If you are sitting on a flat seat with no back rest you should sit upright but don’t have a stiff back. Your head should be resting on top of your shoulders and your bum should be supported by the chair, allow your sit bones to carry the weight of your upper body and the chair do all the work for you. Keep your head pointing forward and upwards to avoid allowing your spine to collapse and release the lower back to avoid the military type bad posture. It’s not just sitting at a computer all day long that’s causing people so much muscle tension and pains. With the explosion of mobile phones, kindle readers and tablets more and more people are ending up hunching over to much or leaning back to use them. All this incorrect stances is crippling our posture these electronic devises is leading to painful joint problems, chronic muscle tension and some experts are now suggesting it can even shorten our life expectancy. Poor posture can eventually cause long term damage to both our body and our health.Spending endless hours using electronics devices without regular breaks off them coupled with poor posture can result in muscle and posture problems. To maintain a healthy and proper torso posture you should engage in the correct posture combined with constant movement. If you do spend long hours on computers, laptops or the smaller electrical devises try and have a few minutes break every 15 to 20 minutes.
