So I am thinking after I graduate ( in Dec 2014, yay!) and I start having an actual life again, that I want to volunteer at my moms nursing home to read books but also vamp up their library a bit....it would totally be out of my pocket, initially. Bear in mind that most of these residents are quite elderly and have some form of disability whether physical or dementia/alzheimers related...then there are residents like my mom who are healthy as a horse and are mentally present over 70% of the time, though they tend to fade in and out. The library in this home is so sad, there are chairs stacked in front of all the books. It is obviously not used as it could be, for family members, staff or residents. What are your initial suggestions?
