So, I forgot to post this from last Thursdays show in Santa Barbara. The police had set up on the standing balcony overlooking the audience. They claimed that this mana brother had a pipe and was smoking weed while watching the show - I followed them out, watched them question, search and arrest him. I saw them pull everything out of his pocket and there was no pipe and no weed. The way they treated his brother, who was only trying to ask them why they were arresting him, was aggressive and profanity filled. It was also his birthday, and he had to see this go down with his sibling. No fights broke out. Nobody got hurt. Nobody was under threat... The only danger in the building was SBPD. S/O to PODER, an organization doing work against the proposed gang injunctions in Santa Barbara. This is a measure targeted specifically to our communities and sold as a preventative action - when it is truly the opposite.
