So I just get home from work after an 11 hour long day and its like hurricane conditions outside.. Crazy lightning, wind and rain. The only available parking spot is like three buildings down from my apartment. Im a little frustrated but thankful to be home.. and decide to wait it out in my car for a few to see if it let up any. Then I can see a man walking across the parking lot.. Holding a broken down cardboard box over his head while battling the wind and rain. I think to myself.. This guy is crazy and where does he think he is going?! Well, he was coming for me! He saw me drive thru the parking lot in search of a spot.. Didnt have an umbrella so he grabbed the next best thing to come get me to walk me safely to my apartment. The box was small and barely covered my head, much less his.. So he got soaked while walking me home. I just thanked him over and over and he said not to thank him but to look out for the next guy down the road who might need help. ☺️ I get so wrapped up in my own little world sometimes.. This was a nice reminder.
