So I know what those two park ladies at Juniper Springs were thinking today as I embarked, for the first time in a kayak, on the 7 mile twisty run. Get AIr Rescue on standby, one probably said to the other. Well, they underestimated this old lady! I didnt even flip. I bumped into a few things and I could barely hold my toothbrush tonight but I did not flip and I made it to the end. For those who havent been in a while there is now an honest to God rapids about 3/4 of the way through. That was very cool! Not like youd find in Colorado or even North Carolina but still a surprise. Havent been to Juniper since I was 17. A lot has changed, mainly my appreciation for truly feeling at one with nature. Thank you, CJ Webb for taking me, teaching me and laughing with me. What a great day!
