So I need advice. My gelding will not stay still to mount him whatsoever. I have tried having someone hold him, and tying him up by his halter, as well as continually getting on and off of him and nothing works. I have had him almost 3 years, not my first horse. When I first got him he knew nothing(not even how to walk on the lead, and at that time he was four) He is sweet, and when I first started saddle work and riding him he was perfectly fine and stayed still, but within the past year he has gotten this habit of backing up while trying to mount him, or he will spin in circles or trot forward. And I am out of ideas, so help?!
