So Im feeling all philosophical this morning. Did you ever look back on the week thats passed and think to yourself how fast life can change? Last week it was the same old same old and all of a sudden life drop kicks you into a whole new place whether you like it or not. I have been a witness to that more than once. I guess I mention it as a way of saying be happy in the moment because we never know what awaits us. Little Mama is still in the kitchen with her newspapers spread out all over the table, reading the same stuff so very intently. It has occurred to me that part of the reason she stays in there like that is to stay where life still seems normal. Her room is where she goes for rest and safety...or when shes too cold and needs to hole up with all of her warm clothes and a blankie over her lap. And we are all in the rest of the house having a heat stroke just so LM can be comfortable. At this moment, the controls are set on 80 to heat her room. Once its toasty... and I do mean toasty...Ill turn the heat back down to about 78 and she can go take her nap. Ive been cold in my life and didnt think Id ever feel warm again. Ive been so broke and hungry I didnt think Id ever feel full again. (Yes, there is a correlation between that and the way I am now but whatever) But I can fix cold now and I can fix hungry, and so I do, because Little Mamas comfort is part of my job. She kept my butt clean and dry when I was a baby. I am just returning the favor of comfort. So, let go of discord. Shed the grudge that only you still harbor. Be at peace in this world.
