So, Im standing in Wegmans yesterday, looking at the Gluten Free Passover foods - amazed that such a category exists and that there are lots of shelves full of the stuff. Im chuckling because Im imagining the Celiac Israelites grumbling over the lack of healthy food options while fleeing Pharaohs army. But Im glad theyre finally getting their due. (Its been like, what, 3,500 years?) Im on one side of a display looking at GF matzo-ball mix and a woman walks up to the other side and grabs a box of GF matzo. Double take, but yes, she did have ashes on her forehead. I love Wegmans, but I really love living in a place where a devout Christian and secular Jew can come together peacefully in the Gluten Free/Kosher for Passover aisle. #onlyinamerica
