So, Im studying the Bible. Gensis 1:11 today. First page of the Bible! I am reading all these different translations and wondering which is best? Is there one that gives a more literal translation from the original language? ◄ Genesis 1:11 ► Parallel Verses New International Version Then God said, Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. New Living Translation Then God said, Let the land sprout with vegetation--every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came. And that is what happened. English Standard Version And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
