So Ive been asked why we rarely do discounts (except when we celebrate wins like Best of CES for a day) and that our prices rarely drop even after years (i.e. our product maintain the same prices for years and on the rare occasion, rise). There are a couple of pretty simple reasons - for example, demand usually outstrips supply of our products, its hard enough to keep our products in stock most of the time, and unlike other companies, were not focused on meeting any sales goals etc, so we keep our prices stable instead of dropping them just to meet short term sales goals. Also, we do recognize that we could always sell more if we dropped our prices. However, for the owners of our products, we also protect their investments as pre-owned Razer products tend to have a premium when they sell them a year later to upgrade. Most Razer customers basically can resell their products a year or two later with a small discount to what they purchased it for. Finally, were really focused on driving our profits back to investing in R&D to stay ahead in the technology curve. Were not in this to make the most amount of money by selling the most products, were in this to keep ourselves focused on re-investing our profits so that we can continue to innovate while the rest of the market is focused on just gaining market share and being a large corporation. Were happy being the boutique brand in gaming - and making cool stuff.
