So a friend of a friend comes to the house today... I was not scheduled to be there... I did not even know they were coming.. but a certain set of circumstances brought them by then...One was a doctor and one was a P.A. The doctor had read my book and I knew he was Ukrainian and so I signed in it Ukrainian for him. I do not speak Ukrainian nor do I know how to spell Ukrainian...but amazingly I get to write in his book in Ukrainian..he is amazed and pleased. He then asks me a question..What is the origin and meaning behind the word CHRIST? Pleasingly surprised, I begin to tell him.... 20 minutes later.. he says with tears in his eyes I knew the story but I didnt understand like that... with hand in hand and tears on tears... he sweetly invited CHRIST into his life with trust and thanksgiving. Two hours later, I am at the church early for mens open group discussion, a white bearded man walks into the building and introduces himself. He says years ago he came the church and was baptized there a long time ago. He said he invited his son and and daughter-in-law to visit. they came in several minutes later. through the introductions and as usual, I ask: Is there any body here that has any questions that popped through their mind this week or curiosity about the bible? The visitors son speaks up and says his wife died two weeks ago, but God brought her back after 6 minutes of flat lining. He said he wasnt a believer but wanted to know how real GOD was... after another 20 minutes of Creation, the WORD made flesh, and the death, burial, and resurrection of CHRIST...our guest not only acknowledged a masterful Creator, but willfully accepted a bountiful Savior! ... Today started out with obstacles, frustrations, short-comings, and struggles. We have been praying over Brendas illness and could not understand why we were not seeing our usual answers for 6 days... The doctor I mentioned earlier... he came to our home because of her illness...her obstacles became his salvation! The young couple that came tonight, came because of her obstacle...she has been praying for her husband for over a year.... her obstacle became his salvation. What if we started to embrace the circumstances in our lives as GODs way to reach hearts... when we are weak... HE is strong... sickness is not Gods will for you..it is the devils attack against your peace and joy. But like a diversion from a marauding enemy, dont let your joy get robbed or peace stolen. But we do not trust in our strength, we walk in his. This is the truth of what we do not see. A friends friend gains heaven and a husband gives his wife an answered prayer. Does it get any more simple then that? I couldnt understand the attacks of the day, but they were all aimed at my peace, joy, and trust in him. I didnt like the attacks and diversions... honestly, I wasnt planning on coming home when the doctor was over and I almost cancelled going to church because I had been up since 2 am... But I was a vessel today of grace... and humbled all the more. Could I end with ...I love you GOD, thank you for allowing me to be a conduit!
