So a woman from the Lab comes in this morning to draw blood. I say get it from my PICC line she says We cant get it when youre hooked up to an IV and sticks me anyway. (with absolutely NO results, of course)... She leaves after I say Oh, no youre not to her saying they;re going to keep sticking [me] til they get the blood sample they want. I go out and find one of the nurses whose opinion I value and ask her how long after an IV finishes before they can draw blood from a PICC line? Her answer: Immediately. So, another Lab person comes in after my IV finishes and they take the blood from the PICC line. So, in other words, instead of checking to see how LONG the IV was going to be dispensing into my system so she could take blood from the PICC line, this b_ _ _ h sticks me for absolutely NO REASON. Cute... :(
