So after a challenging conversation with Michael Bay, I was forced to rethink my stance on NHL supplemental discipline. I once thought the offending player should miss as much time as the injured player (plus four games). Now, I think the team of the offending player should have to pay the salary of the injured player, including the cap hit and penalties. This would make coaches and GMs think very hard about sending reckless goons on the ice game after game. Thoughts?
