So anyways, I needed some decent britches to wear and I dug through my stack of worn out ten year old togs and found none that didnt have holes or werent worn enough to see through and the folks that make these dont make them anymore which disturbs my wa and I could have worn a sarong but kids will be about and that wouldnt do so ..., Isy had found a rare cache of my britches online somehow and ordered a bunch only, they were white, which is see through and Isy wont let me go out in them so I figured, Ill dye them rascals and I did only, well, the instructions say to put em in a big pot with the dye and let them simmer for a while and I did only it was a big pot of water and I figured it would take a long time to heat it up so I turned it to high and wandered about for a bit and came back with plenty of time to turn the heat down only, it wasnt, and I discovered that when water boils with enthusiasm, in a pot filled with britches and dye, the little bubbles coming from the bottom lift the cloth to the top and then, through the folds of the cloth, a little vent hole finds its way and merrily spurts dye all over EVERYTHING! Next time Im gonna get Isy to do it ..., outside.
