So happy & thankful to see the progress Jason is making. On Monday he was barely able to stay awake for minutes at a time, but last night when I went to see him, he was sitting up in his chair chatting with visitors. His doctor took the tube out of his stomach this morning and he was allowed to have some vanilla ice cream. (Its no cherry Activia, but he was still a very happy boy). He put in a good night but is finding he is sore in more places each day. He is currently down getting more chest x-rays and theres a strong possibility his chest tube will come out today. Orthopaedics will be in today to fit him for a boot for his foot and decide if they are able to put on a hard cast (may not be possible with the wound on his wrist/palm). He was sitting up this morning when Mom and Dad arrived at the hospital, and looks better each day. Hes making wonderful progress and if he continues to improve at this rate, we hope to have him home soon. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
