So happy to announce that Nathans passed his hearing test, and we found out the cause of is mumbled speech. Hes has a negative amount of air pressure behind his eardrums In both of his ear. The ear canal that goes down his neck is not fully expanded the way it should bc hes still a child so the canal is bent, as he grows it will straighten out. The negative amount of pressure and the bending of the tubes are blocking the way he hears.... Its like being in a plane at high altitude and your ears never popping. ( which is why his speech is muffled, bc thats how he hears the words) So happy we found out what was going on, and that hopefully with time it will fix its self. Hes never had fluid build up so she said there is no need for tubes. Next week is speech therapy and see what they have to say after todays conclusions! Doing the happy happy joy joy dance now!!!
