So, having moved to France seven years ago, I have (rightly!) given up my right to vote tomorrow. It is one of the few regrets Ive had since moving out here that I am missing this opportunity. I am not going to presume to tell those who will be much more directly affected by the result how I think they should vote. So my only thoughts are VOTE. And vote for what YOU believe in. For me, it IS about freedom - but not about Freeeeeeedooooooom! It as about the freedom to govern our own affairs as we see fit. Having followed much of the debate from afar, the economic case has not been made to my satisfaction by either side - but thats exactly what I expected. Independence will bring many, many changes, some of which will be unpredictable. Without doubt, there will be some difficult times in the short term. So the choice is between no change and between the chance to run our own country for ourselves, to rise or fall on our own merit. So go out, vote as you see fit, but if there is anyone out there who really cant make up their mind, then please vote OUI on behalf of one disenfranchised ex-pat.
