So, its that time of year for lists, and they usually make me gag. But I have a list, and its short. The three people I most admire this year: 1. Tiger Aryan, for consistently and persistently, even through his own horrendous grief, for bringing people of many faiths, and, in my case, no faith, together for the common good. 2. Fatima Baig (Fatimas Journey: a Search for a Liver), who, as soon as she had recovered this year from her SECOND liver transplant, advocated tirelessly for organ donation and addressed the concerns of Muslims regarding it. 3. Tommy Danger, who does EVERYTHING he can to raise awareness and collect funds in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Tommy has already run from Seattle to Daytona Beach and is nearing the halfway mark in climbing the Seven Summits. Dont tell me there is no hope. Dont tell me we cant do anything. You and I can do something. The best we can, and thats all anybody has ever done.
