So its time for a Sunday morning MAX adventure. This one just happens to be a extra great one , please enjoy. So we are on our 1st walk of the day and I happen to see the cutest dachshund ever known to man roaming down the sidewalk. Hes just bouncin on down like he owns the place. Lol.... I notice almost instantly there is no one around , no leash , but does have tags jingling on his neck. I have MAX on the leash , poop bag hanging from my other hand full to capacity. I try calling , here buddy , come here sweetheart , etc....hes definitely nervous and way apprehensive towards us. Luckily I am able to now have him cornered on a little walkway w railings so I think to myself , yahoo , I saved him before he got away. Then , bam , he darts around me and escapes. Max and I take off trying to get him cornered again but he disappears into the backyard of just some house. I think to myself , why not let MAX track him down . Now , MAX being a super sniffer and tracker is able to find him a few houses up . I just kept encouraging MAX with a get him MAX , where is he MAX ..... we then kinda round him up and he shoots back in the direction of where he lives. How do I know this you ask ? Because he scooted into one of these swinging doggy doors on the side door of a house down a few yards ! Apparently these doors go both directions and the side gate on his fence was left open. The owner was a young guy who had just realised he was missing and had begun to start his investigation into where he had run off to. He was very thankful and happy we corralled this little guy and got him back home safely. Although I am the brains of the operation , the Glenn and MAX excursion walks , I couldnt help but explain to the man MAX was the real hero . He thanked MAX and me , gave him a cookie and down the road we went. Me carrying a poop bag , and MAXs tail wagging like the infamous windshield wiper , not even realizing just how special he is.
