So just yesterday, I started this new free app, my fitness pal and I entered my current weight and my daily food intake. It calculates how many calories each meal is and how many more you need to consume to reach your weight goal. It told me that I could only consume 1235 calories daily in order to reach my goal. I thought what?! How is that possible? I truly felt that I was eating an adequate amount and was not sure how I was going to consume soo little. But then after I entered my meals yesterday, I was quite a few calories SHORT! So i stepped it up, increased to 5 meals today ( i added protein shakes.) Then today i am several hundred calories short AGAIN. The daily summary said that should this deficiency in calories continue, my body will be in starvation mode and weight loss will be next to impossible. Wow! Most of my friends believed that I somehow was eating too much. In reality I am not eating enough. Knowledge is power! At my ZEAL WEIGHTLOSS training this weekend, I discovered that my stumbling block has been a lack of planning. So FB friends, I have packed 2 protein shakes and one snack for tomorrow. I have oatmeal planed for breakfast, chicken for lunch and fish for dinner. I am still learning the calorie count for most foods.
