So many things to do every day. From sun-up to sun-down and long - TopicsExpress

So many things to do every day. From sun-up to sun-down and long after, our time is spoken for. We are so busy. Some have demanding jobs. Others are busy in school. There are sports activities, meetings, the gym, and family time. Electronic devices are always sounding as we are called, texted, tweeted, messaged and emailed. At the end of the day we find ourselves asking the question, “Where did the day go?” Exhausted, we go to bed for some rest and sleep. It’s then we realize we haven’t taken any time to nurture our relationship with God. We meant to, just like we did the day before…and the day before that, but time just got away from us. We concentrate on the busy things instead of the best things. In Luke 10:38-42 Jesus gave us a great example of this when He told Martha she was too busy trying to entertain Jesus when her sister (Mary) had chosen to sit at Jesus feet and hear His words. Let’s get rid of the ‘busy work’ that we allow to get in the way of developing our relationship with God. Worship should always be a priority. Find some time every day to spend with Him, reading His Word, talking to Him, listening for Him to talk to you, and just simply Be! Be in His Presence. Be in Prayer. Be in the Scriptures. And you’ll Be Blessed.
