So my BMW 535i GT comes w/ Run Flat Tires (most BMW cars come equipped w/ them). Today, while traveling to Milledgeville my sensor light came on to tell me my tire was low in pressure. I was going thru Dublin, so I whipped into a tire shop to let them look at it. After Going to three tire centers I was told by ALL,.. the RUN FLAT TIRE, could not be repaired,...NO PROBLEM I THOUGHT, Ill just buy another tire! Wrong answer; BMWS run flat tire has to be ordered, no one carries the tire,...so,...BMW ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE send a tow to pick up my car in Dublin to take it to The Macon BMW dealership since it was the closest.... Im still thinking all this for a flat tire??? So now im wondering whats better; a RUN FLAT tire that can be driven flat to carry you on to your destination but will have, to be towed and the tire ordered, or a regular tire that when flat, has to be changed, call roadside assistance they come change it and youre on your way, and your replacement tire is right there in the tire center w/o having to order it!
