So my dentist is out of the country on vacation, and when I scheduled my root canal two weeks ago I was told that the other dentist in the practice would be preforming my root canal (Oh joy!). After seeing the $2,000.00 price they quoted me, I decided to get a referral to a local college dentistry school. Unfortunately, they were unable to get me in until next Wednesday. I called my original dentistry office to see if they could prescribe me three more days of antibiotics and was told that the other dentist (the guy who was going to do my root canal) would not refill it because he had never seen me, so I would either have to come in, pay ANOTHER office visit fee, or just ration out my remaining pills. So you can preform oral surgery on first sight, but three days of antibiotics are a no go?!?
