So my lovely lady Amanda has been appointed to the RDN - Regional Solid Waste Advisory Committee to help create a Solid Waste Managment Plan. Is there anyone in this group that has any background on this committee and any of its members? She is very passionate about waste reduction and believes in the zero-waste approach wholeheartedly (I will invite her to join the group ASAP). Our current mission is to make our household as plastic-free as possible. We rarely buy anything new and limit our purchases to necessities most of the time. She is an environmentalist at heart and hates what our society has become. The next step is trying to help others come to this same realization and she hopes to do this by joining this committee. Anyone that can offer advice or meet with us for coffee and discuss what she might expect to encounter in her first meeting.
