So my school is doing a poetry contest thing and I decided to write a short little poem thingy. It sounds generic at times but I tried to be original, but I wrote it thinking about how I wish people would just get a long and people would actually try talking to people who are scared to talk to others. So here it is. (I tried :) ) Pierce the Heavens This humanity cringes in recoil as mankind slowly decays into a demise of sorrow. We undergo inhumane tragedies, we take on this unknowing termoil, blindly, only hoping we can escape a horrid fate that lies infront of the short melancholy road we all walk along. Our humanity may sound forlon, but our humanity is but a cacoon, wating to be hatched. As time proceeds, so will humanity, as time moves on, so will humanity. As we move on, as we push forward through this crestfallen cacoon, our humanity will metamorphosise, and humans will begin to vocalize, and at last, once this cocoon has fragmented, this once saddened cocoon shall turn into a beautiful butterfly of bliss, peace, and hope. This sublime butterfly has finally burst free of its desolate cocoon, she has merged from the catacombs of darkness, and has pierced the heavens with her almighty wings. Deep down, if we believe, if we believe in ourselves, as well as the people who believe in you, we can join hands in contentment, and smile. We must come together, forget the past, forget our differences, and if we do.. We can break free from this cocoon. We can merge into the gorgeous butterfly. We can pierce the heavens.
