So proud of the team today , from the folks who lost their first match to the ones who won double gold. Seeing Devin get over his mulit year oregon open slump was a highlight it would have been so easy to not go or make a reason to sit this one out but he didnt and he went undefeated today in two different divisions. Eric Calderon put on a masterful display of some Rafael Lovato Jr. pressure passing dominating and also going undefeated in the brown belt middle weight and brown belt absolute! Matthew Cox is always a blast to watch , I continue to be impressed by the speed that this ultra heavy weight is picking up the art of jiu jitsu. He was also able to secure double gold at blue belt. And then there is Javi AKA my hero. He played so well and avenged a couple of losses he had to a fellow competitor by beating his rival twice in the same day (open and weight) on his way to be the purple belt absolute champ. If I didnt mention you in this post it doesnt mean you are any less important to the team these were just the standouts of the day. Remember it takes a team to have a performance like we did today and we have a great one from the white belts to the blackbelts.
