So, the rap script I wrote for the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, featuring some of the cast members of Orange is the New Black, has just shy of 6K views in one week, which is awesome, in views of a typically uninteresting public service announcements genre, but most importantly, raises my stock -- yay for me, hopefully. A highlight was certainly SAGF president, JoBeth Williams, a personal love of mine, emailing us and writing, in all caps, that she LOVED it. Last but not least, Ive decided after viewing this, oh, just a few times, that if I were single and Laverne Cox were a lesbian, its ON. Im still a broke writer who cant take anyone to dinner, but perhaps 2015 will boost that profile, as well. Note that these amazing actresses delivered these lines in tempo without any music, just my voice rapping it all out on an mp3 we emailed to New York, where it was shot under the acute direction of Liz Spaulding. Uzo Aduba (Suzanne Crazy Eyes) is legitimately concerned as she looks through the script in the first outtake, clip, brilliantly utilized by our editor Tricia Rodrigo who created all the backbeat, and so much more, with the visionary oversight and encouragement of producer Caroline OConnor. https://youtube/watch?v=6umvFJhTl8M
