So theres me, just working on my readings and papers for two English classes, and some guy just walks into my study room and asks if Im busy. Me: Uhm, Im doing homework. Why? (Thinking that he and some friends want to take my study room away from me.) Guy: Oh. Okay. I was just wondering if you could help me with my algebra. *awkward pause awkward pause awkward pause* Me: Im not a tutor or anything... (Thinking that I might remember some tutors using these rooms for helping people.) Guy: Oh, I know. There are no tutors yet and I just wanted to know if youd help me. (Oh, so youre not mistaking me for a tutor. Youre just asking strangers for help. Okaaaay.) Me: Okay... Well if I didnt have six pages to write before two, Id definitely help you, but... Guy: Yeah, I understand. Bye. WHY? Do I look like a person that is good at algebra? I am, but... *confused noises*
