So this group is a religion [christian] bashing group? Ive been reading a number of posts and i realize that seems to be the general theme of this group. Its quite hypocritical to be honest. You think it necessary to make fun of those who are religious? Is that the meaning of secularism? I hope not. For those who are atheists it doesnt give right for you to criticize those who are not. It is their right to be a part of a religion or to be religious as much as it is your right to not be. A Christian can also support secularism I should add. Instead of a medium for diverse discourse about religion from all angles (which is what Ive heard is the point of the group) it has turned into a total condemnation of religion. Weve even gone as far as to ridicule those who are Christians (referring to the my face when she said shes christian post. Which you all found funny). Being a gay man, I know how it feels to be made fun of and its no different from what yall have been doing. Theres nothing wrong with being religious. If we are to accept diversity why should we reject those who are religious? While some religious individuals do not embrace difference, we (I would assume) are more inclined to readily welcome it. And if my assumptions are correct, then we must be open to embrace everyone (including Christians). Supporting secularism is not synonymous with rejecting religion. Being atheists is not the same as being antichristian. PS: Im not christian, Im a pantheist. Anyways, peace love equality.
